Improving transport |
The Grampians Pyrenees Flexible Transport project is helping to improve the efficiency, coordination and delivery of public and community transport across the Grampians Pyrenees. By working with large and small communities and transport stakeholders, the project is identifying gaps in services throught the Ararat, Northern Grampians and Pyrenees municipalities.
As a result, innovative transport solutions are being developed and trialled to ultimately ensure that people with limited access to transport have more flexible options. The Grampians Pyrenees Flexible Transport project has received additional funding until 2013. |

Regional links |
There are already some excellent public and community transport services operating throughtout the Grampians Pyrenees.
By working with stakeholders and providers of existing transport assets such as taxis, school buses and volunteer drivers, the project aims to develop innovative solutions within the region for improving existing transport options particularly for the transport disadvantaged.
Joint initiatives with Transport Connections projects in neighbouring regions are also being explored to ensure that transport links in and out of the Grampians Pyrenees are pratical and user-friendly.
