In the heart of western Victoria lies a region of stunning peaks, rolling hills, tranquil villages, busy cities and commercial centres.
Welcome to the Grampians Pyrenees, an outstanding holiday getaway and now an increasingly popular destination among families wishing to make a "tree change".
It is easy to see why people are moving to our part of provincial Victoria. First, there’s the handy location. Melbourne is a two-hour drive away and the beaches of the scenic west coast lie just 90 minutes to the south. The Western Highway, Pyrenees Highway, Sunraysia Highway and Glenelg Highway run through the region, and we have a train service to Melbourne, three airports and an excellent network of bus routes.
There’s also the setting. From native parks, gardens, lakes and rivers, our natural resources are among our greatest assets. The Grampians Pyrenees contains some of Victoria’s most spectacular scenery, such as the magnificent Grampians National Park, the striking Pyrenees Ranges and box ironbark forests.
And then there are the wineries, restaurants, cafes, affordable housing, clean air and unhurried lifestyle.
As you will discover, they all add up to one unavoidable conclusion: the Grampians Pyrenees region is a wonderful place to live, work and invest.
